Overview

The itinerary will take you to four prime places in the north of Tanzania where excellent game viewing awaits in every location. Begin with a visit of a local school in mto wa mbu followed by a delicious local lunch under the banana plantation before making your way to Lake Manyara national park to look for the areas tree climbing lion. In the Serengeti the ultimate predators of the Grumeti River awaits the exodus of wildebeest trying to quench their thirst. Explore the Ngorongoro conservation with inspiring landscape and a chance to see the big five and finish with a thrilling encounter with Tarangire mob of elephants.

Day By Day Description

Day 1 

Hotel

Upon your arrival you will be met by our representative, picked from Kilimanjaro airport, and transferred to Rivertrees Country Inn for dinner and overnight stay. This is a peaceful place to stay during your long flight because is situated outside the Arusha to town

Day 2

Social Interaction

Visit a local school and interact with the children and the locals of the area and learn their daily activities and if you have some school supplies these is the right place to give, school supplies can be crayons, books, pencils, pens. This visit is free of charge. You will have a perfect time to enjoy our local lunch at mto wa mbu, beautiful scenery surrounded by banana trees.

Afternoon game drive – Manyara
After lunch drive to Manyara Park for game drive, these is the smallest park in the northern circuit but with the biggest diversity of habitat than the big Serengeti national park. The first habitat will be the underground forest with water seeping from the rift valley escarpment for birders and non-birders look for Slivery Cheeked Hornbill. There is also great sightings of Hippos, Elephants, Buffaloes, Giraffe’s, Zebras, Blue monkeys, Baboons, and varieties of bird species and the tree climbing lion. But look at it as bonus. Dinner, Overnight at Manyara Serena Lodge.

Day 3

Dazzle of Zebras

After breakfast drive west across the gentle rolling highland of Ngorongoro en route you pass Maasai in their traditional colorful clothes standing on the road side and around their bomas{villages}, We will have our game drive en route through the central part of the park looking for the big cats and keep driving west to Grumet. On our way we might see Giraffes, Elephants, Zebras and Wildebeest heading west. Dinner and overnight at Mbugani Migration Camp.

Day 4

Ultimate Predators

Morning and afternoon drive around the Grumeti River looking for action with crocodiles and Wildebeest coming to drink water. The Grumeti River is known for its huge Crocodiles which can rich 20feet. Other sightings includes Hippos, Elephants, Buffaloes, Topi, Lions, Hyenas, and vultures cleaning the carcasses. Dinner and overnight at Mbugani Migration Camp.

Activities: Game viewing and Balloon safari

Day 5

Black & White Colobus Monkeys.

On this day we will be driving around the river looking for more action, but also this is the only place in northern circuit, apart from Arusha National Park, where you can see black & white colobus monkeys. Around the rivers, is where this quiet monkeys can be found under the canopy of fig trees. Other sighting will include Lions, Cheetahs, and Buffaloes.

Note: The buffaloes in this area are very aggressive, due to constant, poaching from the locals around.

Dinner, overnight at Mbugani Migration Camp.

Day 6

After breakfast drive around the river looking for any action going around the River, but keep looking for raptors if you love birds. Interesting sighting along the way will be Giraffes since the whole road area is covered by acacia trees giraffe’s favorite food. Other sightings may include Velvet monkeys, Topi, Impalas, Bat eared foxes, Jackal and Hyenas, Katikati tented camp.

Day 7

Maasai Kopjes

Leave the camp very early looking for the big prides of lions found within the central part{ Seronera valley} the best place for lions in Africa, The area also has great sighting of Leopards, Hyenas, jackals, Topi, Thomson’s gazelles, It’s also the best place of the park to find Cheetah especially in the dry season. Lunch at the camp. In the afternoon we will drive around the Soronera River looking for Hippos, Elephants, Baboons, and Birds. Dinner and overnight Katikati tented camp.

Day 8

Umbrella Thorn

After breakfast, we will have a short morning drive in the outer part of central Serengeti trying to look for more cats and hunting predators before crossing to the Ngorongoro and visit a maasai village to enjoy the leaving culture since most of the other cultures are dead or dying.

Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge.

Activities: Game viewing and Maasai village visit.

Day 9

Beauty of Sunrise & Sunset

After a very early breakfast leave the camp and descend down to the eighth wonder with possibly the largest permanent concentration of wildlife in Africa, with an estimate average of 30,000 large mammals. In addition, this is one of the best reserves in Africa to see Black Rhino. Other sightings include Lions, Hyenas, Jackals, Hippos, Buffaloes, Elephants, Zebras, Wildebeest, Dinner and overnight at Maramboi Tented Camp.

Activities: Game viewing and Walking Safari.

Day 10

Dotted Baobab

After an early breakfast game drive to Tarangire national park for game viewing. We recommend that you take lunch with you and spend the whole day in the park since if you break the day to morning and afternoon you will spend a lot of time driving from the camp to the gate. The park has great sighting of Elephants, lions, leopards, Impalas, the best time for Tarangire is July October. When Zebras and Wildebeest are back in the park since they always leave the park in November to May. After lunch drive back to Arusha and proceed to the airport.
